Quality Chemicals Revamps Human Health Division
In order to serve our clients better, Quality Chemicals Limited has made a few changes in the way we operate. The first step was met in 2020, when Quality Chemicals Limited opened its doors to more pharmaceutical drug brands. In addition to the Cipla brand products that we trade, we are adding other brands to our Human Health portfolio. Furthermore, we are expanding our product range to include medical consumables. Our product range targets non-communicable and communicable diseases. It includes Antivirals, Antibiotics, Analgesics, Antifungals, Diabetic drugs, Respiratory Drugs, Antimalarials, etc.
Previously we only dealt with a few selected pharmaceutical distributors. We have now opened up to all Retailers, wholesalers.
The expansion of our product range was, among other factors, prompted by the increasing need for drugs for both Non communicable and communicable diseases which have received less attention since the rise of COVID19. According to a World Health Organisation report, one in five countries (20%) reported a shortage of medicines, diagnostics and other technologies.
“Unsurprisingly, there appears to be a correlation between levels of disruption to services for treating non-communicable diseases and the evolution of the COVID-19 outbreak in a country. Services become increasingly disrupted as a country moves from sporadic cases to community transmission of the coronavirus,” reads an excerpt of a WHO report.
With the situation getting worse, Uganda needs to count on the solutions provided by its pharmaceutical industry. As a leading distributor of science solutions since 1997, we take this mantle seriously and have since taken measures to equip ourselves better. On top of expanding our product range, we have added some experienced and competent members to our team in order to serve our clients better.
Damalie Kuteesa, our new manager of the Human Health Division is one of the new forces we reckon with in this course, and she is as elated as we are.
